People want to share videos of their snow sporting experience. But having a camera sticking out of your helmet is not a good idea. You know at some point you are going to fall, and that equipment is going to break.
Beyond getting great video, when we are snowboarding we want an integrated communication system so we can find our friends on the mountain, or even take calls without taking off our gloves!
The unique solution?
Imagine that a group of extremely smart engineers, who know how to build strong safe helmets, and with design backgrounds sat down together to make the best helmet possible for snowboarding and ski enthusiasts.
The Forcite Helmet is strong, beautifully designed, but most importantly it allows you to get incredible video footage, share it easily, and in addition to all of that it helps you to stay in touch with your friends on the mountain.
Ok. I feel I need to take a breath now.
Who are the makers?
I spoke with Julian. It’s a great interview, in which he shares a behind the scenes look at the development and marketing of the Forcite helmet. You can listen to my audio interview with him here.
He had tried many solutions, but soon realized that he wanted to make something that really suited the purpose of outdoor snow sports. Luckily for us, Julian and the other founders have the exact background to do this.
Who is the target market for this product?
Anyone who loves snow sports. I think parents should buy this for their kids who are competing in snow sports during the winter season. Imagine being able to sit at home and see your son or daughter’s latest ski run.
Or make a quick phone call to him or her right after they finish their day on the mountain, and know they can answer you without taking their gloves off – or even if they are on their way down the hill.
I see all professional snow sport athletes getting this as soon as possible. What better way to build your following and increase sponsorship. In fact, I don’t doubt sponsors will be willing to pay for one!
